To ensure adequate water quality on your premises, you must follow two routines.
Every three months, for a central hot-water system, you must flush the last identified hot-water outlets with hot water for 30 seconds and record the temperature. If it is below 55 °C, you must check whether a scald protection device is fitted. You should then flush the cold-water pipe for 30 seconds and record the temperature here too.
Once a year, you must remove the aerators from all taps and either replace them or treat them with a descaler and then in a chlorine solution. The same applies to shower heads and shower hoses.
